Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, 65 million Turkeys will be slaughtered in the US alone.

If you've never gotten a glimpse of what the four to five months of a turkey's life is like, you owe it to yourself. It's undeniable -- there's misery at every stage.

This photo was taken during a trip Keely and I took to the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary. This Turkey was rescued from a slaughter house where she was sure to meet her demise and will now live out her life happy and healthy in Woodstock, NY. Thanksgiving should mean more to us than Turkey which in turn perpetuates the cruelty of factory farming. I hope you and your family have a safe, healthy and compassionate Thanks Giving.
