With so much social media to keep up with the Graceland Blog has been neglected. It's been way to long since I've posted. I've lost track of where I'm sharing all that's been going on. Just to get you all up to speed, things are good. We are staying busy. Walk in Thursdays are a success. For those of you who don't know; Evan, Joe and I (Adam) rotate walk ins. Each Thursday one of us has a cleared schedule and we devote our day to first come first served tattoos. I've recently added some new flash to our walls and added a flash rack that can be used as inspiration or can be chosen as is for your next tattoo.
Most recently we did our second annual "Tattooing to Save Babies" event. I'm proud to say we raised $5,517.00 this year for the March of Dimes. They help to give support to premature babies and their families. We will be sure to run the event again next fall. It's become something near and dear to our hearts.
The fall has come upon us and the holidays are fast approaching. We have plans to host an art show and reception sometime in the months to come. Allison will be adding more and more to the jewelry display case and remember Graceland Gift Certificates make the best gift. I can't tell you how many people came in happy as could be to cash in on their gift certificate.
October 17th is Hudson Vally Magazine's "Best of the Hudson Valley" night at the Poughkeepsie Grand. We will be there to celebrate all the business that have earned this prestigious award and I will be on site tattooing for party goers to watch. For those who would like to go to the event go to Hudson Valley Magazines website and get your tickets.
Just a reminder for those who use intstagram; we have an account for the shop. You can follow us to see what's going down at instagram@gracelandtattoo.
We are still very active on Facebook. We use Facebook and Instagram to announce cancellations as they happen. Like us on Facebook at facebook.com/gracelandtattoo.
One last thing, we are lucky enough to have a great client base that keeps us busy. All of the tattooers have a wait list, some are longer than others. Please remember, people to cancel and change there appointments. Things come up, life gets in the way and when that happens it opens up a spot for those of you who have appointments booked. So please don't get discouraged. We value all of you and do our best to accommodate you. Thank you for choosing to work with us.

The "Mom tattoo" is a classic staple in classic tattooing. I always love the sentiment and like the sweet and simple imagery that usually goes along with the traditional designs of the past. I will be doing walk ins tomorrow May 11th from 12-8 pm. I will only be making tattoos that show your mom how much you love her...OR...If you are a mother and would like to get a tattoo showing the love you have for your kids that can be done too. I'll be working from a selection of designs. Fair prices for good, clean work. I hope to see you tomorrow.

Sandy Hook Benefit at Hat City Tattoo
Joe Pepper, JR Tubbs (of True Til Death Tattoo Co. in Astebulah Ohio) and I will be at Chris Tevino's Hat City in Danbury, Ct. We will be working an event to show the people of Newtown and the community at Sandy Hook support. We will have hand painted flash designs to choose from. These original works of art will be auctioned off for the lucky winner to hang on their wall. The designs will be affordable and all proceeds will go directly to charity. Chris has chosen is My Sandy Hook Family Fund. I ask all of my friends and clients of Graceland Tattoo to come out and show some support. It's an easy drive and it will be a blast. The shop will be open and ready to tattoo at 10 am. I'm not sure when they will be calling it quits, but due to a family obligation I will be leaving at 4:30. Who cares...there's still Pepper, Tubbs and Hat City Chris!
